TDA Research, Inc., located outside Denver, Colorado with research offices in Wheat Ridge and Golden, is seeking an experienced Contract Compliance Analyst III to join their dynamic team. The company has a staff of over 125, which consists of mainly engineers and scientists who develop cutting edge chemical processes, materials, and hardware for customers in the defense, aerospace, energy, and chemical industries. Taking primary guidance from the Contracts and Legal Manager, the Contract Compliance Analyst III will be responsible for ensuring the company’s large portfolio of federal contracts and subcontracts are compliant with contractual terms and applicable federal laws and regulations throughout the full contract lifecycle. This position is best suited for an experienced professional with a proven ability to identify and analyze complex terms and legal authority and develop and implement compliance policies and procedures and employ corrective action as required.
The successful candidate will take a proactive and strategic approach to managing deadlines, internal audits, preparing and submitting reports, and process improvement efforts. The Contract Compliance Analyst III will collaborate with the company’s finance team and directly engage with internal senior technical staff and executives, as well as federal officers. Additional responsibilities include document management, maintaining accurate records, and advising on general contractual inquiries.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and advise staff on federal laws and regulations that govern federal contracts across multiple federal agencies including but not limited to the Department of Defense, NASA, USDA, and the Department of Energy
- Assist with developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual terms and applicable federal laws and regulations; develop and conduct internal training sessions for all levels of staff
- In collaboration with contract analysts and accounting team, prepare and submit high volume of ongoing reports and closeout items for prime awards and subcontracts.
- Manage the company’s inventory management program for property acquired with government funds, including conducting internal audits
- Work with internal staff and third party vendors to implement and monitor cyber security measures.
- Develop corrective action plans as required and collaborate with internal staff to implement the plans
- Assist technical staff with risk assessments and selection criteria for subrecipients of the company’s prime contracts; ensure subrecipient insurance coverage conforms with contractual and company requirements
- Support contractual tasks including fielding contract inquiries and advising on terms and conditions, assisting with contract negotiations, and submitting proposals in accordance with solicitation requirements
- Maintain documents and records according to departmental conventions and established practices
- Actively participate in process improvement efforts including creating and implementing solutions and streamlining processes
- Perform other duties as necessary
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or related degree) required; masters or J.D. preferred. Higher level degree may substitute for two years of experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Recent “hands-on” government compliance responsibilities
- A history of performance illustrating skills in time management, being a self-starter, having excellent interpersonal and communication, and ability to work independently and with a dynamic team
- Experience in analyzing complex contractual terms and legal authority, proposing solutions, and effectively communicating the same to senior leadership.

TDA is seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Lab Intern with a passion for developing advanced technologies and translating them into real-world applications. The Chemistry Lab Intern will be responsible for running laboratory tests on new firefighting foam formulations, dry chemical agents, and defoaming agents under the supervision of a staff chemist. This job will consist of a variety of duties throughout the week. The intern may also occasionally be asked to complete various internal research tasks either on their own or in a group.

Our fast-paced work environment offers a myriad of opportunities for a self-motivated, multi-faceted process engineer. The Process Engineer III will work with project leaders and research engineers to support designing new process concepts, commercial demonstration units, and full-scale systems. This position may be required to work with various hazardous materials, such as compressed gases, cryogenic liquids, acids, bases, oxidizers, solvents, vacuum pump oils, and other hazardous chemicals. The employee will receive specialized safety training and be an active member of the safety and spill teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop process designs of real and conceptual processes for various applications including CO2 capture and gas separations and purification
- Perform engineering calculations under the supervision of Senior Process Engineers
- Markup and update existing PFD’s, P&ID’s, and drawings as requested
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and system FAT during the process development
- Provide in-office and on-site engineering support for start-up, field demonstrations, performance testing, and routine maintenance activities
- Collect and analyze process and operating data from field test units
- Convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong grasp of fundamental thermodynamic, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles including separations
- Experience preparing heat and material balances, PFD’s and P&ID’s
- Proficient at equipment and pipe sizing, specifying process equipment such as blowers, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, vacuum systems, and gas-solid and gas-liquid contactors
- Effective communication with engineering and equipment vendors
- Familiarity with industrial safety procedures
- Foundational understanding of system controls and basic plant layout principles
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to track documents
- Excellent communication skills with efficient visualization techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to manage and execute multiple projects in parallel
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Process simulation, any software but Symmetry is preferred
- Experience with gas purification processes especially TSA, VSA, and PSA systems
- Experience with pilot plant design, construction, run planning, and operation
- Experience with scaling up engineering and pilot scale processes to demonstration and commercial scale designs
- Participation in safety and operational hazard analysis and familiarity with best practices
- Experience with plant cost analysis and technoeconomic analysis
- Design experience with carbon capture processes is a plus
- Experience with Symmetry (formerly VMGSim) or other process simulation software and AutoCAD P&ID development
- Strong technical writing skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
- 4+ years of process design experience
Physical Demands:

- Ascend and descend stairs and ladders

TDA has an opening for a Full Time Production Technician to carry out sorbent and catalyst production. Production quantities may vary from pounds to tons of finished product. Multiple processes are used, including mixers, extruders, presses, tanks, and furnaces. This position will require production at all scales, with adequate notes and observations to facilitate historical record, reproduction, and further scale-up activities. Production will require handling and transfer of large amounts of material and chemicals. Applicant should be able to handle introduction of new processes and materials and multitask to complete multiple production processes and schedules concurrently.
Previous experience in any of the following areas:
- Batch-based Processing and Production
- Batch Control and History
- Quality Control
- Inventory Control
- General Laboratory Record Keeping and Practices
- Familiarity with production flow and packaging
- Streamlining, and improving production processes
- Troubleshooting product and process issues are also beneficial
The candidate should have:
- Excellent chemical hygiene
- Ability to work with a variety of hazardous materials, such as compressed gases, cryogenic liquids, acids, bases, oxidizers, and solvents. Some operations may require use of a dust mask or respirator

- Ability to independently assess problems and complete tasks with minimal supervision

We have a position open for a Facilities Maintenance Technician II. This position will perform general labor, basic repairs, preventative maintenance and perform light janitorial duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with laboratory and office moves and new equipment installations
- Perform basic plumbing and carpentry repairs
- Order and stock breakroom, bathroom and kitchen supplies
- Use maintenance and asset tracking software to document inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed
- Attend training for First Aid CPR/AED and other training as required. Assist in response to facility emergency events and serve as a team member on various response teams
- May require after hours response to emergencies
- Light janitorial duties
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical components
- Current Driver’s License, able to be insured on company vehicles
- Eligible to be fork truck certified
