We have a staff of 100+ mainly engineers and scientists who develop cutting edge chemical processes, materials, and hardware for customers in the defense, aerospace, energy, and chemical industries.
We have a position open for a Facilities Maintenance Technician II. This position will perform general labor, basic repairs, preventative maintenance and perform light janitorial duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with laboratory and office moves and new equipment installations
- Perform basic plumbing and carpentry repairs
- Order and stock breakroom, bathroom and kitchen supplies
- Use maintenance and asset tracking software to document inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed
- Attend training for First Aid CPR/AED and other training as required. Assist in response to facility emergency events and serve as a team member on various response teams
- May require after hours response to emergencies
- Light janitorial duties
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical components
- Current Driver’s License, able to be insured on company vehicles
- Eligible to be fork truck certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with asset tracking and maintenance software is desirable (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of fire and electrical codes (preferred)
Education and Experience:
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 2+ years of job experience in a similar role
Physical Demands:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Standing and walking for prolonged periods
- Climbing and working from ladders
Hourly rate: $21.00 – $23.00 with the complete benefits package.

TDA Research, Inc has an opening for a Full Time Production Technician to carry out sorbent and catalyst production. Production quantities may vary from pounds to tons of finished product. Multiple processes are used, including mixers, extruders, presses, tanks, and furnaces. This position will require production at all scales, with adequate notes and observations to facilitate historical record, reproduction, and further scale-up activities. Production will require handling and transfer of large amounts of material and chemicals. Applicant should be able to handle introduction of new processes and materials and multitask to complete multiple production processes and schedules concurrently.
Previous experience in any of the following areas:
- Batch-based Processing and Production
- Batch Control and History
- Quality Control
- Inventory Control
- General Laboratory Record Keeping and Practices
- Familiarity with production flow and packaging
- Streamlining, and improving production processes
- Troubleshooting product and process issues are also beneficial
The candidate should have:
- Excellent chemical hygiene
- Ability to work with a variety of hazardous materials, such as compressed gases, cryogenic liquids, acids, bases, oxidizers, and solvents. Some operations may require use of a dust mask or respirator
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently assess problems and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

TDA Research, Inc. has a position open for a Laboratory Technician. TDA is seeking a highly qualified laboratory technician with a passion for developing advanced technologies and translating them into real-world applications. The laboratory technician will be responsible for testing and reporting results on the performance of firefighting foams, dry chemical agents, defoaming agents, and fire sprinklers. This job will consist of a variety of duties throughout the week, rotating between testing within the foam and sprinkler labs. The laboratory technician may also occasionally be asked to complete various internal research tasks either on their own or in a group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine analytical laboratory tests in accordance with the published test procedures
- Assist with various laboratory administrative duties
- Complete internal research as requested
- Assist with other duties as communicated by supervisor and rotate among multiple work stations
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Understanding of chemical hygiene and safety procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with numerical analysis
- Ability to follow instructions with an attention to detail
- Ability to work well and coordinate with team members in a laboratory setting
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Laboratory Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in a science major or previous laboratory technician experience

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as an Executive Team member and officer of the company. The CFO supports the President and CEO with the financial planning and financial health of the organization. Successful professional directs the organization’s financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, 401(k), contract pricing and long-range forecasting activities for the organization and for contracts.
- Executes oversight of the Accounting and Contract Management team in providing and directing policies, procedures, and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services, to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and contract business management.
- Appraises the organization’s financial position and issues periodic reports on organization’s and contract’s financial stability and growth.
- Directs and coordinates the establishment of the organization’s budget programs and monitors and reports on execution
- Monitors cashflow on a daily basis and keeps the President & CEO informed of the organization’s current status and recommendations as required.
- Establishes and maintains contacts with oversight, financial institutions, and other companies.
- Maintains and represents TDA’s relationships with DCAA, DCMA and other Government agencies.
- Coordinates tax reporting programs and activities.
- Coordinates Annual 401k testing/reporting, annual stockholder tax schedules.
- Manages Shareholder distributions, relevant shareholder financial communications
- Coordinates vendor purchasing system to include data collection and government reporting.
- Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
- Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation’s annual reporting, including the organization’s DCAA Incurred Cost Submission.
- Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization’s and contracts’ policies and operations.
- Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole organization and determines their financial impact.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Serves as the supervisor for the Controller who is responsible for the Accounting Department operations of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll Provides oversight and evaluation of this unit.
- In absence of a Controller the CFO will supervise the Accounting/HR Supervisor.
- Serves as the supervisor for the Contract Manager who is responsible for the oversight of the contract management duties, government property management, proposal budget submission, contract negotiation, subcontracts and closeout requirements.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in the financial field.
- 10+ years experience in an Accounting Leadership Role.
- 10+ years in financial analysis, full life cycle accounting and specifically with government contracting.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- 10+ years progressively responsible experience in Government contract management. Must be able to comprehend and apply laws and regulations applicable to business operations in a Government contracting environment.
- Experience working in government contracting for a $10M to $50M annual revenue company.
- Professional experience with government contract negotiation and compliance.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Professional experience working with DCAA, DCMA and other Government oversight agencies.
- Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members.
- Proven experience with a high level of organizational skills, quality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent written, oral communication.
- Dependable with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Experience working in face paced environment.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications Preferences
- Experience with industry specific software (Deltek, Jamis, Unanet or other).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license Preferred.
